There are no OEM 12 round magazines/springs, just the OEM (+2) extensions. So that leads me to believe that Glock intended them to be used with the factory spring. My old Gen2.5 26 I had years ago had a mag with the (+2) extension and it worked just fine.
I am curious about Magpul 12rd GL9 magazine though... |

The G26 uses the same mag spring as the G19, so there's plenty of spring tension for adding a +2 to a G26 mag.

I've been using the stock mag spring from my G26 mags. I added the factory +2 extensions. No issues. There's plenty of push in that spring.

Some of the Glock 26 mag bodies will only hold 11 rounds after you install the +2 extension.

Why not add a conversion sleeve to a G19 mag? I've done it & like it for a backup mag.

Because you have to adjust your grip with an A&G extender to get the magazine to drop.
