I picked impulse bought a Gen5 19 on the 26th of last month and don't see the need to have the 19 taking up space. Thinking I might sell it and pick up a 34.

I don't typically sell firearms. No idea what I should ask for it. It currently wears a set of yellow Trijicon HDs that are a year old. Looks brand new. Virtually no wear on the gun, but there are ~1500 rds through it.

What does arf think is a fair price?

2 is 1 and 1 is none.  I would keep it because you will not get back what you put into it.  Plus the day one of your pistols breaks or has to go back to the manufacture it is nice to have a backup to carry while your primary is in for repairs, paint, or who knows what.

400-450 is about what you can expect to get for it.  I just bought a G17.4 not to long ago for $450 used.

This is kind of my mentality at the moment. What sort of parts compatibility is there between Gen4 and 5?

Glock is going to discontinue the Gen 4.  Keep it.  It'll be worth more in the long run.

My buddy sold an unfired gen 4 19 recently for $450.  I should have bought it.
