Kind of a strange question I know.  So can I install a 3rd gen G22 slide onto a 3rd gen G17 frame for dry firing only.  No live ammo firing.

Yes they are the same frame.

The only difference in the frames assuming both Gen3s are 3 pin is the ejector.  I use a G37.3 frame with a G17.2 slide.

 lol Yea I saw that post!  My G17 is a pretty old originally a Gen 2 police gun.  I have an extra G22 slide which is much fresher and newer.  Figured to be safe I'd use that for my dry fire work.

You could just buy snap caps. Be warned the azoom caps wear out very quickly. I'm going to buy something made of actual brass next.
