I went with the FBI ones. My triji HDs are orange and have a U rear and I like that. Thought I should be consistent too. The real question is do I get a new G19 for these or replace the triji ones on my goto g19... Oh and I want these on my HK USPc too! View Quote |

I really like the thinner yellow front with square rear notch. Are those the bolds?

I'd like it better if they squared off the paint on the front sight. Like they do on the CAP sights. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/462085/p_100010622_3-279515.JPG View Quote |

Question for you guys that just installed the FBI sights on a Glock . Since the rear doesn't have a set screw how tight does the rear sight fit ?
I hate it when rear sights get a little loose and there's no set screw . |

I hate it when rear sights get a little loose and there's no set screw . View Quote I had a set on my 26 that was also snug and didnt budge. I took the set off my 26 and put them on a new 17 i picked up and after a few hundred rounds they walked left, I recentered , used green loctice and they haven't walked after another 300 rounds or so. I went ahead and dropped some loctite on my 19 and 26(now with spartans) just to be sure. If you plan on using the rear sight to chamber a round I would recommend red loctite. |

All the Ameriglos I've owned, including the FBI sights, are snug.

Just the standard sights. But, I have noticed they are a little different from the standard sights I'm used to. Taller overall and rear has a different profile and marking. But still the plastic sights. View Quote |

I just ordered another set of FBI sights today. I was told that you can no longer order the Bold sights from them. Eventually you'll be able to get them from Glock. I was also told that the green front sight isn't available yet.

Are these available with green tritium front lamp and yellow lamp rears? I have this option from Ameriglo with the blazed orange front, but like the rear geometry of these contract sights better.

Anyone know the heights of the front and rear? ETA: I have another set of FBIs coming in the mail. I'll just measure them with my caliper and I'll let you know. |

What's the difference between the FBI and the Bold ? View Quote They both are 3 dot sights. Both front sights are .125 thick with an orange (or soon to be released lime green) ring. Rear sights are serrated on both. The dots are blacked out (no white rings around the tritium) on the rear sights. They both have a ledge to rack the slide. If you scroll through this thread, there are pics of both. |

I went ahead and ordered two sets of contract sights. Going to sell my bold sights (came stock on my Gen 5 pistols) in the EE on my 17.5 and 19.5 once I get them swapped. Thanks for the info! Was very informative.

My Gen5 17 came with Glock OEM night sights and not the FBI style.
It was $30 more than a standard sight Gen5 19 ($559) he had. He only received the two yesterday, so I fo'd on the 17 as that's what I wanted. It is a 'red label' commercial piece, so I don't know if there are two different offerings when dealers are ordering commercial guns with night sights. Or are the 'FBI' sights only available on 'blue label' guns? I may have missed that if it was covered earlier. Should have my 'FBI' sights next week. |

I got my 2nd set of FBI sights. This time the invoice said "Govt Agency Sights" instead of FBI Sights.
@ Marksman14 Front sight: .200 Rear sight: .190 (at the very rear) .265 from the bottom of the dovetail Hope this helps. |

Nope. Only wanted the height of the front and rear blades, I.E. the parts that stick up over the slide. View Quote I know Ameriglo makes different heights of the FBI and Bold sights for different calibers. These are 9mm/.40 height. You might call and ask what the height is for .45/10mm Glocks. |

I have a feeling the contract sights only come stock on FBI issued M pistols not Gen 5 LE pistols. The sighting surface of the rear sight was angled and glossy; seemed to catch glare at any angle in AZ sunlight. The OEM nights sights on the 17Gen5 we have, while still made by Mepro, are distinctly different that the old OEM Mepro's. The rear sighting surface is vertical and the overall design of the sight set is more contemporary, wider notch. They should serve any one who likes three dots sights well. I am waiting on a BOLD sighted 19Gen5, which are supposed to arrive today. |

Ameriglo officially designated the FBI sights as GL-846 if you want the actual model number.
