Does anybody use a single frame for multiple calibers--particularly 9MM and 40S&W?

From what I've been made to understand, the straight 40S&W ejector should allow for reliable function with both 9MM and 40S&W?

Has this been everyone's experience?

From my extremely limited function testing of my G34 upper half on my G22 frame, it seemed to work without issue (factory upper assemblies, no conversion barrels, etc.), but I'm curious to hear what experiences those of you, if any, have had doing this long term, and if anyone had "high round count" multi-caliber guns.

I've used .40 frames with 9mm uppers, both Gen 3 and Gen 4, and it's worked without issue.  It didn't seem to eject quite as far, but no FTEs.

I have a glock 31 with 357sig 40cal and 9mm it shoot all reliable the 9mm have a different path on ejection. If your shooting 9mm onli they say you can just swap out the extractor. I have had no problems with 9mm failure to extract.

this was brought up in this post,  may answer some questions.  I know it helped me.

Thanks,

I've read that thread, and I've done some looking in to the issue--I got a great deal on a factory G34 upper half, so I don't need to worry about extractor parts or barrels, etc., and much of what I've read seems to indicate that the stock 40 ejector will work without issues, and I'm aware that changing the ejector requires changing the trigger housing (a cursory search on eBay indicates that OEM assemblies are not difficult or expensive to get--to the extent that I've considered just getting a whole separate drop-in assembly with trigger and all so I just have to pop pins, drop in, and go).

What I'm more interested in is any long-term use and experience that anyone has had with this combination--though, given the relative inexpensiveness of Glock frames, I could easily see where most people just end up getting a new frame on a long enough timeline.

I do plan to go back and forth between the two calibers in the interim, though, otherwise I would just swap everything over once, and call it good.
