Finally finished up my "RS" build. Its not exactly an RS, but it's close. I still need a solid holster for this set up. I currently have an M3 Holster set up to use an Inforce APL, the light and holster were given to me. So until I can get a new holster I'm stuck with the APL. I am really looking forward to seeing what Raven comes out with for this set up. I guess I can only dream of a light bearing Eidolon. I do carry this set up daily along with a spare mag.

Specs:
Glock 19 Gen 3
ATEi Slide (not modified Glock Slide)
Trijicon RMR
Silencer Co Threaded Barrel
TBRCi Micro Comp
ISM 15lb Recoil Spring
Overwatch Precision Tactical Trigger
ZEV Tech Magwell
Surefire X300

How does it shoot with the 15 pound spring?

I ordered a Carver Custom Comp, should be in tomorrow. I called them and they recommended me get an 11 pound spring for a Glock 17. I'm using  it on a G19. I have a 15 pound spring in it now.

The carver will compensate a little better so you'll probably want a 13b spring on a 19. With my set up the 15lb spring seems to be working just fine.

I ordered the 11# and a 13# just in case. Shipping the comp and my slide back to JagerWerks on Monday. So it will be a couple weeks before I can warm it up.

I actually did that myself. Definitely gotta toot my own horn a bit, that was my first time doing it and it came out great! I literally have 200+ A2 grips, I practiced on about 5 of them before moving on to my Glock. I tried different ways of out lining and different patterns and different sanding/polishing methods till I had a combination that I liked. I definitely recommend trying it yourself, just practice on something first.

Don't know what your preferred method of carry is, but if it happens to be aiwb, CNC holsters makes an awesome holster set up for these. Had mine about 2 weeks. 2 day turnaround. Fair price.

I've actually seen the CNC. I have some slightly different requirements for the holster I need so I was a little weary of trying the CNC. I have one coming from someone else in the next week, if I end up not liking it, I think the CNC will be my next choice.

You completely missed the second half of my post then.

That implies that I too am interested and want to set up a gun like that.

Everone owes it to themselves to try one of these.

I ran about 250 rounds through this one yesterday, smiled the whole time. Hoping to buy an RMR in the next couple weeks.

I posted a video shooting it on S3F Militia's Facebook page. Someone with skills could  really do some damage with one.

Has anyone used all 3 comps? KKM, Carver and Micro?

RS is in the works for me and wondering if a dedicated barrel and comp is worth it. It will be my full time CCW, but I have a TiRant waiting approval and no other (easily converted) hosts at the moment.

Any accuracy testing with the KKM barrel? I vaguely remember seeing somewhere that it was optimized for 124gr loads whilst I prefer and have stocked a small stash of 147gr HST.

Or am I over thinking things?

Id be interested in this as well. Purely from the way I look at things I would think the Carver would provide the most compensation based on look/size of ports but I could be way off base.

The micro comp is very cool looking and more compact, but I got to believe it wont give as much recoil reduction.

Wish somebody would. I'd consider it, but I would just screw it up. Not even sure how you would do it fairly.

I said fuck it and ordered a KKM barrel and comp in celebration today

Roland "Not So" Special is well on its way. Just need mag well, RMR and slide work done. Might possibly take it another step and get a flat face trigger.

Mine probably isn't even considered "ish" with my Carver Comp, Agency magwell, and Agency trigger.

Still shoots like damnit though.

Roland "Not So" Special is well on its way. Just need mag well, RMR and slide work done. Might possibly take it another step and get a flat face trigger.

I know another 0351 that ordered one this morning, as a birthday present.

It's gonna be rough for Marines livers this weekend. Winning the election, the birthday, what a time to be alive

My take on it... Factory grips are fine for now. I changed a couple of springs and added a "-" connector. Otherwise, stock trigger. No light at the moment but one coming.

Has anyone tried this, or a similar, comp on a 26?  What would the performance difference look like when compared to the 19?  Would it for into a 19 holster or 17?

How does that comp index? Looks like set screws......how do the set screws work of there are no flats on the Silencerco barrel you're using?

When did your order from TBRCi? I placed my order with them last Friday and I'm impatient, esp since they're so close to where I live.

Nevermind. My shipping notification from them was sent to my spam folder.

Why the slide mount RMR over the 6 second mount? I read the SDD article and it seemed they 6SM was in response to optic failures has anyone experienced that? or do we just not shot enough to get that far? Like the concept since it's basically an open gun but i'm sure the non-reciprocating mount is more popular in competition for a reason.

Any time size bulk or weight isn't a issue a bigger fixed mount is superior. Once you start talking about a gun that is actually carried and/or concealed big external mounts aren't a great solution.

Heard Internet rumor from the man himself they might explore a factory RS option.

Here's a kit, just add G19, RMR06 and then all you'd have to do is get slide milled.

Pic thread. My progress so far. Just got the RMR06 yesterday, now need to sell my ACOG and I can send the slide to ATEI.

You were probably part of the first batch. don't know if they have them in stock now or they got just enough in to cover the pre-orders.

It uses a set screw on either side. The set screws provide enough tension to lock it down tight. It doesn't rotate at all. I've tried to turn it by hand and it won't move. I have 1300 rounds though the one on my G19, no Loctite on the barrel and it still has;t budged.

Looks great. Got a question. Does yours screw all the way up on the barrel until it can touch the slide? The reason I'm asking is a buddy just got his and it bottoms out way before the slide. Here is a picture where he had to index his. Yours doesn't look like it has much of a gap, may be the angle of the picture.

My Carver has to be indexed, and then unscrewed 2 full revolutions to have that much gap.

mine does have a gap. maybe just slightly smaller than your buddy's. but maybe not. mine bottomed out just a few degrees past timed, i just backed it off slightly and did the set screws.

Think it's caused by barrel differences and I think they are working on it now.
