I am planing on buying a glock and was wondering if I should go with the 22c or the 22. I know that I want a .40 cal but im not sure how the 22c shoots compared to the 22.

I have a 22C , But I`v never shoot a plain 22.
There is some Flash up for the C.
The .40 `s really dont kick much more
than a 9mm.(IMHO)

I would go with a 22.

I stole mine used for $350.00

IMHO Depnds on what its going ot be used for. As a defensive weapon I would say no to the 22C. Muzzle flash and hot gasses are not what you want in a close encounter. But for range fun and competetions I say go for it. I just really dont like ported weapons as they are loud and make my head hurt

My experience has been that the Glock tends to recoil less than other models of the same caliber. This is due to the low bore axis (it sets lower in your hand than most other brands) and the shock absorbing nature of the polymer (plastic) frame. The frame actually flexes under recoil. Because of this I can't really see the need for the "C" models.

YMMV!

I have a Glock 22 with a compensated barrel from Accumatch. I love it was I can load 155 grain fmj with up to 1500 fps, with little recoil. Muzle flash at night is blinding though.
