Traded for some real old-school G19 coolness this evening. The Glock serial number site says that mine was made some time in November 1993. It’s got factory night sights that are a bit dim, and also came with a Magpul G-17 magazine.

So far it's pretty damned awesome. Most of my "testing" though has just been backyard plinking. I'm going the range for qualifications on Tuesday so I'll have some additional feedback.

It's functional and aesthetically pleasing. I'm actually happy I didn't go the threaded barrel route.

Opened the 19x up to accept gen 5 mags. Decided to sort of ramp it a bit while I was at it and get rid of the little ledge it had.

Work started with a dremel but switched to doing it by hand to get it refined so it didn't look bubba'd. I still have a little shaping to do on the edges to get it symmetrical.

Thanks!  It's been to the range twice so far and still shooting great.  I will say that I think the SRO is going to take a beating with ejected brass, but so far, so good.

After 1,000+ trouble free rounds down range I decided to build up the little G44. If all the triggers in the Gen 5’a are as good as this one, Glock has stepped up their game. Mines been 100%, no failures of any kind, no kaboom, no cracks 🤪

I did the following:
Ameriglo tritium front sight with blacked out rear.
Undercut trigger guard
Full frame stipple
Polished internals
TiN coated the barrel (thanks @titaniumgun)
Whipped up a kydex holster for it too.

She’s a keeper! Now for those 30+ round mag makers to come through!

Quarantine parts build- FrankenGlock rebirth:

This was a complete oem g19 many years ago. I had sold/traded off everything except the stripped frame since I had sworn off all things Glock.

I figured why not revive it.

Right to Bear slide, Poly80 lower kit, Combat Armory barrel, Aim Surplus slide kit and sights, and a Swampfox Kinglsayer. I also installed the Cominolli thumb safety just because I still had it.

I hope I can shoot it soon...

Really basic GGP17 build. No plans to put a can on it. At the time I bought the barrel BCA was out of non-threaded and I figured that a little extra length on the barrel can't hurt.

This is my daily carry Gen 5 G19 MOS.

My buddy has a Gen5 19M and I really liked the feel of the controls, so I switched out to the OEM parts that come with the 19M. Basically two parts, the extended slide stop (P/N 47249) and rounded/extended mag release button (P/N 8794).

Also installed the Combat trigger from Johnny Glocks. Can’t say enough good about that trigger system. Adjustable, glass on glass, simple as that. Aside from the striker spring and connector, both Lone Wolf products, the system is mirror polished OEM parts, including the trigger shoe. The trigger shoe safety is shaved down so that it’s flush when the trigger is pressed, making for a super smooth and comfortable trigger pull. The pre travel is reduced and it’s a consistent 3.5lb glass rod break... every time, with a super snappy and short reset.

I’ve got the RMR mounted with the OPF-G, RMR plate from Forward Controls. That’s definitely the best mounting solution I’ve found for the MOS system. It completely seals the RMR, so no need to use the sealing plate allowing the Trijicon GL201 suppressor height sights to co-witness perfectly with that plate, so those are the irons I went with.

The light is the Surefire X300U-B with the PHLster extended switches, secured with VC-3 Vibratite.

I’m using the Xiphos V2 from Tier 1 Concealed for my appendix carry holster.
