Agreed - if RMR is your go (and it's mine too), it makes sense to stick to a 2 or 3 MOA dot.

Thant's a big dot.

Maybe not too bad for a mid-sized occasional carry.

Maybe I should spring for a 2.5 MOA SRO, put that on my G35.5 and swap the RMR to the 23/19?

Decisions decisions.

Obviously, we are fanny bros, always will be.

Must be a midlife crisis - I'm changing my EDC for the first time in many years. Going to a lightweight compact 9mm after decades of all steel. Also went from traditional strong side to AIWB. And my new mag pouch is IWB too.

It's my first day with the new rig from JM Customs so it's not exactly EDC yet but this is what I plan to go to.

I've been slow to go to AIWB.

I need to get a pic of my K6S and it's carry rig as well as I intend that to be my alternate carry for when I need something smaller.

I've never been to crazy about officer sized frames untill I held a friend's vigil with a magwell. That extra 1/4" was perfect.

I have little girl hands so I get a full grip on an officer's frame. The government frame has a ton of extra material for me.

I'm not loving the IWB mag carrier. It's digging into me something fierce. I can't carry it appendix.  The holster is pretty sweet though.

No, that's an old pic. I typically just carry my m66. I've been slacking with my 1911s

Try a jmcustom AIWB pouch with a DCC monoblock. I don't even notice it.

I finally found a spot I do like with my mag pouch. Frankly, I don't need the IWB mag pouch. The OWB pouch concealed just fine for me with a t shirt for years and years. I was putting the IWB pouch too far off centerline. Now it's almost 12 o'clock and it is comfortable there.

Here the setup with my backup carry gun. This gun has gotten a lot of range time lately and I've come to absolutely adore it. It punches so far above it's weight class for me. I'm hitting very well at 25 yards DA only now and my confidence with it is sky high.

I also have no trouble running lower power magnums through it. Currently I've got Buffalo Bore low recoil loads and they are comfortable to shoot. A bit more muzzle rise but no discomfort.

I'm super pleased with it and it conceals and carries very easily. Can't say enough good things about it.

Holster came from the Kimber online store.

Which slide is that? I think the tlr7/rmr on Glocks is a handsome combination. Kinda the standard for the modern service pistol.

Someday I'd want to make a display of an 1860, 1873, 1911, 1917, M9, and a g19 with rmr and light.

Slide - Arc Division

Started out with a Surefire XC1. What a piece of shit. Worst money I ever spent on a light. It's literally a keychain light attached to a gun.

PSA got me with their cheap optics ready G19.3 slides.

"I have G23.4," I thought, "so why not get a slide, one of those gen3-to-gen4 spacer thingies and a cheapish red dot and have a G19.3.5 with an optic?"

The results are disgusting (aesthetically) but after sight-n and 200 rounds no issues with the slide or the optic.  It's a cc/deep carry gun so the idea is that nobody sees it, which is good.

It shoots just fine.  200 rounds isn't much, but no issues whatsoever.

Holster is an old comp-tac that I had to WECSOG with my rotary tool for an optics cut.

Optic is a Swampfox Justice.  Pretty big window and an advertised 3MOA dot.  Dot looks bigger than 3MOA to me, but whatever.  The adjustments do not click (which was disconcerting) but sight-in was easy-peasy and seems to hold so far.

G23.4 frame has a slight undercut to the trigger guard and shave to the dumb bump on the trigger guard.

I'm going back to the Crossbreed. I tried the AIWB but it just doesn't work for me.

I like the speed of draw, retention, and having it in front of me so I always know it's covered. However, I don't find it anywhere near as comfortable as my Crossbreed. It pokes me all over and it messes with my junk.

I also like not having the leather creek when I was running kydex but it's not enough to make me keep it.

I do like AIWB for my snub revolver. That works well. I think a shorter barrel not pressing on my junk makes a huge difference.

Glock 48 with Ameriglo 353 night sights, Bravo Concealment OWB holster with their paddles, carried at 3 o'clock, Daltech belt
Blue Force Gear dual mag pouch at roughly 8 o'clock
Wowtac A6, Victorinox Pioneer (love this thing!), Skinth wallet with Alox Bantam in the back
Keys are on a carabiner with an Olight i3e, clipped inside my pocket with everything else

I want to start carrying my G17 as I shoot it better; I do have a holster and several mag pouches. A loaded G17 with two spare mags is getting up there in weight though. I don't want to start wearing suspenders.

I may have found a solution. The JM Custom is well built but I think it rode a little too low. It was miserable when I sat down. And it always seemed to be interfering with my bits.

Undaunted I got a Tennicore. This seems to fit my body quite a bit better.  It's comfortable sitting or standing and conceals fairly well. It's too soon to declare it my definitive solution but it looks like a winner.

I've gone to a pocket solution for my spare mag just to streamline all the crap I have on my belt during the summer. It's slower but I don't think reloading is a real priority in an actual event.
