I'm currently using a Safariland 6004 SLS with a UBL low drop attached to my belt without a leg strap.  It's ok.

I need a concealed M9 holster for a deployment for use with the cargo pants/ un-tucked polo shirt "uniform".  At 5'9" 150lbs, I'm not sure how I'm going to conceal an M9.  I was eyeing the:

Concealed carry holster Safariland 7379 7TS ALS Concealment Clip-on click
and the Safariland 6378 ALS Paddle & Belt Slide click
I know those are outside the waistband and I think the M9 would print crazy, but not sure how I'm getting that beast in my pants.

Cheers,
Supra

Why do you need a concealed weapon for a deployment? Is this with .mil or as a civvi or contractor?

I'm mil.  We'll be attached to a SOF team in a support role. When not on a kinetic, we wear civvies.

Gotcha. I had never really seen concealed carry on deployment.

As far as concealing an M9, good luck, lol. You might be better off using an OWB. I like the Blackpoint Tactical holster for OWB. Low profile and comfortable for all day use. Just get a size up from normal shirt to cover it.

Get a jmcustom aiwb 2.0

I carry a full-size 1911 in one. I carry my m9a1C in a m3 tactical aiwb but I don't think they make them for the beretta any more. I prefer the jmcustom anyways. The rcs wing and extra tuck help a lot to.

I think I would try a classic belt-worn leather holster. If it's going to be outside the pants, leather would most likely give the lowest profile. Just as an example, something like this.

A good belt would be necessary as well.

Black rhino concealment has some nice iwb kydex. I have a few from them. I am about to order one for my 92a1 next. They conceal very well when you dress around it. They have a double mag pouch that rides tight against the body  also for added concealment. That may be a idea for you.

A remora sticky with sweat shield works good for the beretta, I just add a couple soft loops to it from amazon to keep it from moving around.

I carried an M9 in a Galco Concealable OWB, but in uniform, so I had a loose ACU top to cover it. It's a quality, pretty comfortable holster that conceals well - it really hugs your side and blends in because of the smooth leather construction. However, because of how long the M9 is, the bottom tip of the holster pressed into my right "cheek" and started to give me sciatic nerve pain if I wore it for too long. I reached out to a friend who carried an M9 IWB in civilian clothes. He had a good looking design that featured a large leather panel that spread the bulge out well when he wore it at almost 5 o'clock.

I was fortunate that I carried a Glock 19 on one deployment in civilian clothes, so smaller pistol with lots of options. I used a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2, which you could order for the M9, but it's an expensive (and long lead time) holster to "test" if it doesn't work out for you.

I have a few of these for my Glocks.  Too bulky for concealment.
I have a Crossbreed for my M9 for IWB use.  It's actually not bad, distributes the weight well.

I had to do that a few times at Shura's sponsored by other agencies. They didn't allow weapons in the room but fuck that noise. I left my m4 in the truck and carried my m9 Mexican style.

Thanks for all the input!  I've changed direction to either a Desantis Thumb Break Scabbard or the less expensive Bianchi 7 Shadow 2.

I don't think Mexican carry would fly in my situation.  Lol.  That's BS about going unarmed into a Shura.  The ANA senior officers I previously advised always Mexican carried S&W Sigmas to those and KLEs.  I open carried x2. ;)

If you are set on owb instead of iwb id recommend kydex. Ktmech  I use one of these and with a cant its pretty easy to conceal my m9a1C.

I'm not a fan of cheap mass produced leather holsters

I used a Simply Rugged CID leather OWB holster while deployed to Saudi Arabia. I worked at a western compound and the Riyadh Embassy as a PSD driver and concealed an M9 everyday plus spare mags. With a proper belt you'll have no problems. I'm 5'10 and 180lbs, 32" waist to give you a general idea of my size.

Typical dress was 5.11's and a polo or button down, occasionally a suit/tie. It was actually pretty comfortable, I spent most of my time escorting DV's and VIP's around the city on shopping and dinner trips. Noone was ever the wiser I was armed, even some of the folks we escorted were surprised as they couldn't tell just by eyeballing us.

I'm currently deployed supporting SOF as a civilian and they gave me a G19.  Everyone here either carries a Glock or M9.  Get yourself a good belt and a pancake holster (leather or kydex) that rides close to the body and you can easily conceal.  It's clear as day that most people I see walking around carrying aren't very experienced.  Loose belts, pistols giggling around, etc.

Kydex scabbards are good, too.

I have carried an m9 a couple of time while down range.  I found that with a larger pistols it is better to carry it inside the waist band.  I used a leather holster back in the day.  Today I would go with a kydex holster that could be converted from outside the waist band to a inside the waist band by changing the hard wear.  I would look at Black Dog holsters.  They are not costly and can be configured to be carried in various ways. I don't like retention features for concealed carry holsters. Thanks for your service.

Regards.

Are you talking about the guys you're deployed with? Not entirely surprising, carrying and concealing effectively is a skill whether people realize it or not.

Any of you guys carry AIWB? 124gr NATO ball?

OP is it even remotely possible to swap for a G19?

I carried a 92 almost exclusively through the 90s. A Milt Sparks VMII and a dedicated discreet gunbelt made it super comfortable and rock solid stable. If I were going to go back to a 92 for primary carry, that would be my route.

I only quote @Joescuba because he has one of the highest signal to noise ratios of anyone on the site, yet he rarely posts.

Yes, majority of miliary I see walking around where I am.  And yes, a few guys carry AIWB G19s with tucked in civilan shirts.  Most though are carrying at 3 to 5 o'clock.  Standard issue is 124gr ball NATO.  Date stamps on the casings are old as fuck.

What I've used past and present.  De Santis leather and Black Dog kydex.  The kydex can be used iwb and owb, just have to change the hardwear.

I've carried many guns concealed in SF since the mid 80s.  For the M9 carried it in either a Milt Sparks Summer Special III IWB or OWB in a left hand Gordon Davis Liberty rig worn right side (inside belt, tucks in tight)  One thing about a Beretta M9 holster is that you can also use if to carry a M1911.  Ordered for both guns from Milt Sparks back in 95' for Haiti and only used the M9 one for both guns.  That Liberty rig is for a Beretta also but carried a 1911 for decades also.  Last time I was in Afghanistan (14') carried either a G19 or M1911A1.  Supporting SOF in Astan/Iraq is a unit from NAVSEA, they can make you a Kydex belt slide for the M9/G19/SIG/1911.  They made me one last year in Iraq and conceals very well (OWB).

I'm currently using a Ghost Holster. Specifically, this model. Let your shirt run on the loose side and there should be a couple sweet spots where the M9 will disappear readily.

JM Custom

I have had their "George" AIWB and a M9A1 for years. I am about your build, 5'10" and 150. It conceals fine.

If AIWB isn't for you, their OWB 1 holster is also pretty great. My buddy has one for a full-size pistol and it conceals under a t-shirt.

ETA: If you are going somewhere hot stick with the OWB. My Beretta AIWB can get uncomfortable in hot CA summers. Both are equally concealable on a tall/skinny frame.

A leather pancake all the way. I have  don hume 721 open top, they also make a thumb break. the way a pancake works, so much tighter than a traditional clip on. For that matter even getting a kydex pancake would be nice.

I am super happy with how my M9A1 hides in an IWB Alien Gear, although I'm 6' and 210lbs and wide shoulders, so I can hide a lot of things.

Good luck with your choice and stay safe.

i use an old faithful iwb tuckable with a g22. a good belt will hide it under a t shirt. it is also adjustable for rise, cant, and tension.

for me this style of holster is best for full sized pistols.

You might also try a Comp-Tac MTAC, but I'd go with Milt Sparks.
