Moving to the country, 99 acres, weeds, brush, snakes.  Just killed a 3' Diamondback Rattler yesterday.  I sweat like an Indian rain forest, all year round.  I need something I can put on my hip with a stainless pistol to take out the venomous snakes.   I conceal carry with different holsters but nothing applicable to OWB, sweaty clothes scenario.

I would just use my EDC holster and clean the gun.

If you go with an owb holster nearly any kydex pancake holster will be fine. Maybe a safariland if you want some retention.

Good way to pack for a long walk or hike but probably too hot for everyday work on the farm.

My issued one spent several years going from the ocean to the jungle. Take care of it and I'll doubt you'll rust the copper rivet.
