Picked up a cheapish leather holster for my S&W 442. Its made for 2-3" barrels.

I hacked off 1.5" on my Dillon holster for the 325 2"bbl years back, but noticed the stitching is starting to come loose on the bottom.

Is there a way to chop it off and avoid the stitches pulling out?

I just put super glue gel into the remaining stitch holes and stitching..or gorilla glue maybe..

The 'correct' way would be to unstitch the part you intend to trim, then knot them (on the holster's rear side) at the end of the intended new length.
