This is the version that was marketed by Interarms.  It's on a Armory USA receiver, which I understand to be one of the best US made receivers.  It is finished with gray parkerizing.  This is not correct to the original assembly in Poland but it is done very well and looks really good.  A nice coat of semi-gloss black Duracoat would make it look more original, but I actually like the look of well done Parkerizing and it was bonus point on the rifle in my opinion.

My rifle runs great and has a very  nice trigger.  It shoots about 3.5 MOA from the bench with Wolf ammo. Probably a little bit better than that with an optic or better sights.

The rifle with a green Romy sling and the steel magazine that came with it and a polymer magazine too.  Both mags work great.  Notice it has the black polymer USA made grip.  in Poland they used a grip made from the same material as the front hand guard.  The mismatched top handguard is correct and Polish.

Notice that the Polish rifle doesn't have the normal takedown lever for the top hand guard, I don't think an Ultimak will work on this rifle.

Check out the super cool muzzle device and 90 degree gas block.

These are very cool rifles.

This is the one I bought on the EE.  Can't wait for it to come in.  Ordered some rounds from century arms to go with it.  Probably going to pick up some Wolff non-corrosive as well.  Where do you all find the best deals on the Wolf ammo?

Not even looking at wolf yet.  Too much Bulgy at century to gorge on still.  It really is not that much extra work to clean corrosive ammo after shooting.  For me anyways.

Thanks for the pics, I'll get some up as soon as my rifle comes in (Wed).  I was unaware of the upper handguard/gas tube not having the take down lever.  How do you all remove them then for maintenance?  I also plan on putting a rail system on this one as well, so it will be good to know.
Thanks

Flat head screw.  It is in a captive roll pin assembly.  The screw stays on the hand guard retainer.

My home build

I have since put the rear site one but have not put the rubber bumper on as I need to do one more finish coat.  I like it but the first time I shot it the stock dug into me a little more than I would like...   Can't wait to try out the Bulgy Sidefolder I just finished.

Oh and I need to get a bipod too.

What is the length on these things with the side-folder folded?  I want to pick up a non-SBR w/ a length of 26”-30” when folded.  I have a small mountain (well maybe a modest hill) of 5.45x39 and a nice stack of mags but no rifle yet.

That is a good problem to have.    The Tantal looks to be the way to go for 5.45, IMO.

Beautiful guys.  I'm lookin at building a Tantal but putting an Ace stock on it and cuttin the tang.  Sorry guys I know it won't be authentic but I choose comfort first.

Hmmmm now I just need to order the kit from Copes and then give Nodak a call.

Ok shot mine twice now.  I must say I prefer my bulgys for shooting, but if ya shove this monster thing on it makes a world of difference in comfort.

How hard would it be to change the folding stock to the Russian/ Bulgarian triangle style folder? I think I would prefer that style better.

then it wouldn't be a tantal.  trade it for a readily availably bulgarian 74.  and yes, having both, i can confirm the bulgy stock is more comfortable.  bit i can't confirm the trunnions match 100%

AS the above poster said, it won't be a Tantal, but that is exactly what I did to my Tantal kit, some might think it is not right to mess with a Tantal, but i wanted a AK74ish rifle and the Tantal with the chtrome line barrel had me at hello.

here is my 74 build from a Tantal kit, based on an Armory receiver.
