Ya Know... in December 1988 I was a Lance Corporal about to deploy overseas for the first time and I was going to buy a Galil AR. They were $700.00 and I had the cash but I “figgered” I would save $150.00 each month for the six months I would be gone and get one plus a few Magazines. When I got back… the first import ban had been enacted. Galils were $1200.00 and I said “there is no way I am paying $1200.00 for what is really a $600.00 rifle…”

NOW… I would give my eyeteeth to buy a Galil for $1200.00  

At least I took the cash I had saved and I went out and bought a bunch of AR lowers for $80.00 a piece. Now I have to console my self with a Mossy Build up post ban and a few IMI Galil receivers. PLEASE GOD let the AWB sunset next year… I really want a SAR.
