First,
order three of these. You can use other vendors of course but that's where I got mine and as long as they're the 1.5x6mm size you'll be good.
Second, drill out the old vials with a 1/16" drill bit. I used my small Harbor Freight drill press but you could probably use a hand drill if you're careful. However, a vise is probably a necessity. Use a piece of masking tape around your drill bit to mark the depth you should be drilling, using your new vials and the position of the "windows" on the sights as a guide. The end of the vial on the front sight should end up just below flush on the bottom of the sight. The rear vials will be a little deeper into their holes. As you drill, you will note you're not drilling through metal but just glue. You may throw a few metal shavings out but you are not drilling through metal. If you are, you're going too deep.
If you have the rear sight with the clear windows, they may be too dark or dirty to let much glow through. I ended up drilling mine out and cold bluing the recesses.
Then just slide the vials into place and secure them with a drop of super glue. I use a very, very thin wire as an applicator. Then once the glue dries add a dab of black paint.
Good to go, and $21 instead of $90 for new night sights!
