I would seriously wait until after Trump takes office. All gun prices including AK's should go down drastically. Yugo AK's used to be $450 range years ago. If you are patient you will get a great deal on one in several months.

The current high prices aren't due to the election, they're due to reduced supply. Zastava, like other arsenals, is diverting more production to conflict zones and thus fewer rifles are being sent to the US.
