Form 1 approved and in hand this Dec, sent the gun off to Tom Sawyer Mfg for engraving. After nearly 14 days in transit (courtesy of the FedEx cross country oddysey), I now have my krink ready to be SBR'd.
Problem: I cannot get the fake can off. I would like to do it with as little damage to the can or FSB as possible.
I have tried removing the FSB and the detent spring pin. The pins simply will not budge. I have beaten the shit out of them from both sides and get zero movement. There is very little room between the FSB and the fake can (if you were thinking about hacksawing the pin).
What to do?
I bought the krink from a guy in Fla last year. He told me ORF did the work. It is on an ITM receiver. ORF does not answer any emails- all emails get returned.
I'm anxious to get this flamethrower out to the range but I have the patience to do it right. I have built several (10-12 AK's) so I'm not new to the game. I have several other krink kits so spare parts is not a huge issue.
Here's some pics- any thoughts are appreciated.
