Optics or Irons on an AKS-74U?
I'm really struggling with this....I love the look of the rifle without an optic, but thinking about functionality.
What is your preference and why on your Krinks?
Thanks so much,

Put some form of Red Dot on it.

I prefer a Micro Aimpoint.

Irons work for me, I think it depends how good your vision is.

I've run mine in multiple configurations, and I've settled on an Ultimak with microdot.

Irons for me. I can get decent groups at 50 yards with irons.

Irons on the Krink are a mile ahead of the standard AK.

With my eyeglasses on irons work fine at any distance I plan on shooting my Krink(<200 yards.)

A tritium front sight or another contrast color makes it even better.

ETA, if you do go with an red dot I recommend the Zenitco B-18 as the mount.

I run it old school and use a Kobra, love it, however I'm looking to upgrade to a more modern red dot soon

I use a PK-06 red dot on a K-Var KV-04SP mount.

Old eyes.

I started with irons but went ahead and put a rail on the top cover for my H1 Aimpoint. It's great. No regrets.

Good red dot makes all the difference at 300 yards
