On gunbroker today  before rifles where around $1500 for the 308 and 7.62*54r the 7.62*39 where around $1000.

With the ban they have gone up but I think they will settle lower in time. Before the ban they were at 1,000 roughly but the 1,500 is way to much and I don't think they will sell at that price point. Just give it a bit and they will lower down. I don't think we will see any sub 1k but I do not think they will stay at 1500. I remember after the ban they sold quickly and any new shipments were gone in an hour. Makes sense, the veprs had a good reputation for being well built with great fit/ finish, as well as being one of the last Russian guns. Fear buying will do that, wasn't too long ago scar 17s were being sold at 3600 and now settling into the 2700 mark.

Wonder if my vepr  built into a psl  with black composition adjustable  stock has any value.

im sure it does, i really like the vepr, super smooth gun, but 1500 i think they will just sit there, that said when they clear up i wonder what the custom shops will use

I agree the beer is a great firearm it made a great base for my PSL build.  Just wish I could have gotten the longer  barrel  instead of the 20.5" barrel

And I wish I could find a long barrel in 308 for another build.

I snagged a 5.45 a week or two back for $885 shipped.

Hated to pay that much, but I figured it was worth the gamble since I was seeing others listed for more.

I just went to a local gun store and asked if they had any vepr. The guy behind the counter looked at me and said he never heard of them.

I told him it was an ak pattern hunting rifle and then looked even more confused.

Damn I miss the good ole days.  When I had my FFL I sold the shit out of Robarms Vepr II's.  they were $400

Good snag, I was trying to get one before they were gone but no luck, have to sit with my 7.62. 5.45 is a hard rifle to find these days.

Yea I noticed that too. I'm happy and hope that more people get into the scar. I only have a 17, but that has gotten me thinking of picking up a 16
