Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - VEPR Buttstock

I really like the 30-06 VEPR's but unfortunately they have thumbhole stocks which are a no-no in NY (and CA).  Does anyone know a way to put a straight buttstock on the VEPR's?  Most of the adapter hardware seems to be made for use with an existing pistol grip, whereas I want a full, straight fiberglass or wood stock like the ones on some of the older Saiga 308's.  Thanks!
