Guys, please pardon my AK ignorance, I am learning. I just picked up my SAR 1 and was wondering if I were to go all out and refinish it can the receiver and other metal parts withstand the oven heat of a brownells or duplicolor bake on finish? I'm guessing yes and this may be a stupid question but I don't want to screw it up.

Yes, I baked mine at 300 degrees for 3 hours.

Very cool. I have used the Brownells stuff on FAL lowers but never baked for 3 hours, only like 45 minutes. Thanks for the pics man, awesome job!!!
