I really like them-there 105's.  I should have picked me up one of those.

Here's a SAM7 I used to own.  I changed the furniture out to make it pretty, but it had the "ban" features (and no side rail), so I sold it.  I sure miss it though.

Is the ribbed receiver cover original to the rifle, or your replacement?

I know the SA M7SF's came with ribbed receiver covers, but I thought all the SA M7A1's had smooth ones.

Here's an updated picture of the Bulgarian family. Four SLR 105's, two SA M7's, and a Bulgarian Krink kit build. The RPD is a Vector build from a Polish kit. It's not Bulgarian, but looks good with the rest of group.

Here is my Bulgarian AK74 build, which I test fired yesterday. 4 different mags, 120 rounds of Bulgarian 80s ammo from Century (about 10 cents ea.)
No misfires, shoots a bit low but windage is spot on.
BTW using the Tapco gas piston, which is about 4 mm longer than the original, apparently has no adverse effects I can find. Other US parts: shiny plum K-var girp, Tapco G2 trigger parts, and serial number matched Nodak Spud receiver. Made from one of the last primo parts kits sold by ORF. Wood gently sanded and re-finished with Formby's tung oil. I used the bolt cutter riveter and other tools/jigs from Pat McHenry.
Needs paint.
