Cheapest 7.62x39mm ammos that i have seen at Sporting Goods stores is $2.86/20 rounds...They are Monarch branded Barnaul Ammo @ Academy Sports.

I've called and they never accept backorders and keep telling me to call back. I would try Sportsman's Guide or Cabela's. They also backorder but you do get it in the end. |

Sportsman's Guide.
They may not have it now, but they at least have reasonable prices. I suggest you buy 2k or so rounds and order more when you only have 500-1000 left. That way you shouldn't run out. |

Buy cheap and pile up!!! I waited two months to get my ammo but I paid $164 for 2k shipped.
If I would shoot more I would have bought more. |

Yeah, thanks for that advise, where were you last year when dealers were throeing the stuff at me. Oh well, I'm going to wait this bs out and stock up when the prices go down.
