Hello,

The only public range we have left in York County.  I think it's in Dillsburg.  Route 74 north.

No shit? I know that range, I used to live in Dillsburg.

There is another range that is pretty close to Rt15 just south of Giant and that antique/flea market place. Can't remember exactly where it is though.

any of you guys know of a real range (burma rd. does not count) in Schuylkill co.? York is kinda far for a range trip. i want to get to shoot somewhere i can strech out my PSL,..maybe 600-800m and burma rd is 150-175m max,. which is great for a AK,.. but pretty confined for the its bigger brother.

Cruzie,

There used to be a "Sportmans Complex" near Zerbe Airport.  I don't know if it's still operational.

It was a flattened area with a big backstop and was a designated shooting area.

Cruzie,

I misspelled it.  It´s Joe Zerby Airport located adjacent to Interstate 81.  I think it may be closed and may have been located where the prison now sits.  I searched the web and could find no references.  The last time I was there was years ago.

I´m headed to Pottsville to see my parents in the late summer if I have my FJcruiser by then.
I plan on doing some shooting with a few guys that are up to speed on where to go.  I´ll send you some electrons when that happens if you´re interested.
