I bought this Romanian AK 74 off the board.  The work that had already been done was the addition of the installation of the an original Romanian front sight base and Romanian '74 muzzle brake and Russian Black AK74 furniture.

I was looking here on ARF's AK threads the other night and thought "Hey I got some stuff to make the rifle look more authentic."

I dug in some nooks and crannies at the shop and found an E German side folder, Russian top wood and a Romanian pistol grip and front grip.  Also a reddish orange AK74 mag and a Romanian sling.

I know all the parts are not 100% correct, but what do you guys think, is it a passable replica?

Bakelite.  I will check around somemore, but I don't remember seeing any.  If anyone has a source I would like to pick one up.

The next one I am doing will be a full auto Krink.  I am going to build it on one of the ORF new kits in 7.62X39.  The kit comes with an underfolder, early I guess, but I may substitue a side folder as I have a couple in my AK parts locker.

If you go sidefolder on the 7.62 Krink, you can appreciate the front pistol grip on it also.
