Ok ive got an SAR-1 that i have always left at the factory zero and never fine tuned. Suddenly i have the itch to do it so can someone please explain the military standards for doing this. The russian manuals say to shoot at 100 but with the sight ladder set to 3, their MPI is actually intended to shoot high, i think this is to compensate for the lack of a 300 meter range??? SO if this is the case should i just set the ladder to 100 and shoot at 100? Will this ensure that the ladder is properly calibrated? Should i use a 6-o-clock hold or front post hold over type sight picture......?????????

These are the kinds of small details im looking for. Im not expecting anything superb in the accuracy department, i just want to say i have done it correctly once.
