I know it's not that great for most pistols, but what about our rugged AK's?

I don't like doing it.  I don't like the hammer coming down on anything that doesn't have a primer.

You pretty much dry fire an AK everytime you finish off a magazine unless you count the amount of rounds you fire everytime.

Do not dry fire the 22 rimfire trainers or subcaliber inserts.
Centerfire ones, as directed above already.

dry fired a bloomin billion times. firing pins are cheap but I never had a problem yet...

AK rifles are like Glocks: dry fire them all you want with no damage to the weapon.

Just dont go out in the yard and play war with the thing and dry fire it all day long , that can't be good on any gun.
