Okay, I'm lost.
What does an AK drum go for!? I saw a couple months ago the guy selling them for 999.00, everyone let him have it, but he seemed to think they were worth that much. Then today there's a 225.00 china drum 35 dollar china drum missing some parts 130 dollar romy's 75 dollar unknowns Okay, someone please explain to me what a frigg'n drum is supposed to cost. |
999?
from what i've seen the later prices you mentioned are around the going values. i've seen romys for a little cheaper, and i've seen them for a little more expensive. it all depends. haven't looked much at chicom ones. |
Chinese drums I've seen running from 100-130, Romanian from 79-100, Russian come up every now and then for around 135-150.
Just picked up a new Chinese 75rd still in the bag for $120.00.
I purchased two like new Chinese drums last summer for $100 each and got another in very good condition a month later for $80.
I bought two chinese 75 rounders back in the early 90's for around $32-$38 apeice. After using one of them, I cannot figure out why anyone would want one. They are heavy and noisy. I like the Russian or Romanian ones better but they are still heavy. They look cool on an RPK but that's about it IMO.
I would rather spend my money on 30 round magazines. SM |
First off, thanks for the info so far.
I'm looking for the EE ad for the guy who had the 1k drums. anyone go tthe link? It was a few montsh ago |
as I recall wasn't an EE ad, was a topic that had a link to a website of someone selling them for $999 www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=434312 |
DING DING DING
YES! I do recal being an EE ad to. So many people crapped in it that the ad got trashed though, IIRC. Anyway. Is that thing SERIUOSLY worth a grand!?????!! |
I remember when the Chinese drums were going for $25 each, and I though that was to much money for them.
well with the big BetaC craze people were paying 400-500 dollars for them! Not so long as a year two years ago.
I don't think those are worth even 200 they go for now, heavy, noisy, heavy, heavy....did I mention, heavy? Anyway. |
Yup, I tried my best to burn my barrel out in 1989 with 5 drums in a row......damnnear caught the handguards on fire. Anyway......Romanian drums are about $80.00 and Chinese can be had if you look around, but they're going for over $100.00 easily now. |
Or you could be lucky like me. A couple of month back I bought 2 at a gun show for $25 each still in the wrapper and yesterday I bought 2 more 1 75rd and 1 100rd for 110 OTD for both .
This is generally accurate. Chinese 75 rounders used to be all over the place for $100 shipped, but they've crept up a bit in the last year. You still see them for $110 sometimes. The rommys could be found in the high 60s on gunbroker over the summer, but I just checked and theres less, and at a higher price. $80 is probably more average. |
not to hijak the thread but aimsurplus has romy drums for $79.99 in stock i just ordered one not 30 minutes ago. total of $86.95 shipped should be here on tuesday
ETA: oh and as far as drum pricing goes best i can say is |
I wonder WHY the Chinese drums haven't been imported lately? Part of the Norinco ban, maybe?
I bought mine in `94 right before the AWB for $35. |
probably something with importing weapon stuff from a communist state
Part of the Clinton regimes on the War on Guns. ATF raid on Waco was the first step, to boost up the need for more ATF agents, Brady Bill became law, Assault Weapons Ban did too, ban everything from China just for kicks.... |
I'm curious, how much? I have a 75 and a 100 chinese. |
I grabbed a few Chink 75 and 3, 100's in the late 80's....only used the 75's so far.
More outrageous is the "now price" of the AR 120 rnd Chink drums I got back then.....eeeek! |
Under his name it does say "Resident Moron". |
OOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooookkkayyy
anyway....back to the drum topic... Where can chicom drums be had for under or at 100 bucks |
So then, by your skin-thinned reasoning......DEC. 7, 1941, can't be refered to as "Slap-A-Jap" day, even though there is no "Slur" there, or my saying "Chink"................In my world , there were two Chinese groups....one who went to Taiwain.............Taiwanese, or Chi's, and those that killed a few hundred-million people..(and tried to kill me, many a time)....they are "Chinks"...or ChiComs if you prefer,,, No matter to me. IM hate-mail not withstanding.............if you bombed Pearl Harbour, you are a "Jap"........if you tried to kill me (sorry they missed, to many of you punks, not like they tried....) and came from China and waived a Little Red Book, you are a Chin(K)Com... No "and, buts, or if's". Live with it. |
The same folks who pride themselves in being so damned policically correct dont dare say a word when a white guy is called a "cracka", "honky", "goyim" (cattle). "shiksa" (female abomination) or a Germanic is called a "Kraut". You PC freaks should take your Political Correctness, wrap a sheet of sandpaper around it and shove it up your ass. |
You are a fucking idiot. |
For most of us, not using racial slurs has nothing to do with trying to be "politically correct." Your attempt to defend that jackass is laughable. |

I had a 75 rd drum I payed $24 buck it was new. it was not all that even for 24 bucks . I will take a 30rd any day.
Yikes! I did the google search that you all probably did...I had no idea that prices went up that much....
The question is: What is out there now that we will call "cheap" in a few years? PC? No it never bothered me to be PC, that is what the "Little Red Book" was all about....being PC in extremis. Thanks, but there is no reasoning with thin-skins.....they're victims of Government schools and would S*** their pants if they ever heard rounds hitting around them. I wonder what the term they would use to describe those firing at them would be.............. ......Good thing that actual MEN have stood up, over time, so they could hide behind them. |
prices
75 round rommy 65-80 75 round russian 80 75 round chinese 100 100 round chinese 160-180 90? round 223 chinese 3-400 |

I thought I just saw Chinese drums advertised at AIM and Copes within the last few weeks. I believe prices were in the $100 to $129 range.
Hey tough guy, no one cares if you call the specific people that are shooting at you names. Is anyone shooting at you right now? This is way off topic, but people like you really need to be educated. Since you think you aren't using any slurs, you should know that this is what appears in the dictionary for the terms you choose to describe certain races: Jap ( P ) Pronunciation Key (jp) n. Offensive Slang Used as a disparaging term for a person of Japanese birth or descent. Chink ( P ) Pronunciation Key (chngk) n. Offensive Slang Used as a disparaging term for person of Chinese birth or descent. ETA: Since it doesn't seem you know what a slur is: slur ( P ) Pronunciation Key (slûr) tr.v. slurred, slur·ring, slurs To pronounce indistinctly. To talk about disparagingly or insultingly. |

Amen to that!! No reasoning with them, thats why they deserve to be treated and judged just as they do those they defame. I bet they dont have a problem with the word "raghead", or "camel jocky" either. We know they dont have a problem with "Craker, Honky, Shiksa, and Kraut". Oh, but thier soooooo tolerant of others beliefs.... Yeah right. I have yet to find one tolerant of my beliefs. I like how these wanabes give themselves names like "psyop". Give me a friggin break! These are the kinda guys that would wear ensignia that they havent earned, that is if they knew a real deal guy wouldnt be around to call them out. |
The fact that you have yet to find one person that is tolerant of your beliefs either says a lot about everyone or a lot about you. I'm betting it says a lot about you. |
