Does the Wolf soft point 154 gr ammo work well?  I don't care about expansion, just function and reasonable accuracy.  I can currently find some of this but can't find any fmj or hp available.  I have a few soft points.  They will chamber fine, but the tip gets pretty chewed up.  Does this matter much?

What about the high dollar Federal, Winchester, or Remington 7.62x39?  Expensive? Yes.  Available? Yes.  The cheapest I've found it is 40 cents a round.  While expesive, the option of handloading exists.
