They send me their catalog, i saw that deal in their latest catalog, its romanian, I'm almost positive on that. The pouch looks to be romanian too. If its from century then indeed its Romanian. Still a good deal though.

Well Then I guess they are russian then , the 2nd pic looks just like my book in the book I can see the little metal hook that holds the strap . And also it has a "line" at the end of the handle . The picture in the book , has more detail the the pic on the web !!! |

In all likelyhood they ARE Romanian. That is what they look like and the pouch is definitely Romy. Russian WILL have an arsenal mark.

on those older AK-47/AKM "russian" bayonets.....check this part of hilt/handle.....where you clasp it on bayonet lug.
 only russian marking...never count on serial number markings. |

I went down there this past week end and was told they did not have the russian with mag pouch combo in stock, that it was only mail orderhinking.gif. Seemed strange as I think they are mail ordered from there!
They did have a couple of boxes of nice bayo's. I bought one, but I think its Romanian. I may actually mail order one just for fun. I did pick up a fn fl tube bayonet and an enfield spike bayo. |

Ok, I got my Bayonet and mag pouch combo today from Smokey Mountain Knife works. I am sure it is not Russian as it says " Made in Romania " on the scabbard. But, mine is new unissued condition with the strap, the frog, and the leather shath over the metal scabbard. For $21 shipped I am truly pleased. This makes my fourth Bayonet. I also have a Chicom, Bulgarian, and a Polish. I know... I need to get a Russian one. Still waiting for the right deal to come across the EE.

Got mine also I'm sending mine back, the back of the handle is slitting getting another one !!! I called , and spoke to a lady , I told her not for nothing but this was NOT a russian bayo , she said that's were they got them !!!  Also mine does NOT say "made in romania" on the bayo scabbard or the mil pouch !!!Don't know what the hell I have ..... |
