What to get?  I was looking for a VEPR K or an Arsenal in 7.62X39.
Both of which seem hard to get right now.

My local shop has

3 Wasr-10's @ $350 they look kinda crappy
1 Mak-90 @ $400 used but looks clean
1 Arsenal in 5.45 @ $500 Don't think I want a .20 caliber AK. Already have an AR.
My mind could be changed on that possibly.

Should I go with one of these or hold out for what I really want?
Also I'm in NY and have to comply with the AWB so my choices are limited.

My choice would be the Arsenal SA M-7.  

Jensen Arms has some Carbines in stock at reasonable prices.  Look in the EE Forum; "AK Rifles."

If its a Milled Mak 90 then get it now. If it's a Stamped Mak 90 tell them $350 and you'll take it. The chinese rifles are very good. IMO WarDawg
