I have some of the fold by hand ones. They will take a lot of time to complete but are  option for someone who can weld. They are much thicker than a standard flat which makes a sturdy receiver. I have heard people say they warp from welding but from what I have been told from people that use them is that its not a issue. I have a friend that has almost 20 Ak's made from them. These are new. Im friends with the original creator. We ended up making several deals and I ended up with the remaining stock of his flats. He told me he stopped making them due to Ebay changing their policies & the price drop of standard flats & jigs. These could be used to make a quality receiver but take a lot more work than standard flats when using a jig.

These are a lot thicker than standard flats. This would give you a more solid receiver & make welding a lot easier. I have also been told the heat treating isnt really a issue with these do to the extra thickness. These would require a lot more work than standard flats due to the fact that you have to weld & file down the bends.
