Springfield TRP Operator with the full length rail.  They stopped making it with the full length rail and I miss it.  Not that it was anything spectacular but it did work, without fail, and it absolutely looked badass.

I've only sold one gun, a MAK-90, and I dont regret it a bit. I bought it for $360 and later sold it for $420, then got a SAR-1 for $325.

Nice gun, but not what I wanted out of an AK.

Heh, I'd sell mine if I could get anything for it. I might toss it on GB and see what I can get. The worst thing was the trigger. It was reliable enough with low weight JHP (115gr), but the trigger was horrible.

I got ripped by a "gunstore" in Sherman TX.
I was young and just out of boot and a friend who went AD gave me his AR.  I got sweettalked and suckered out of it inside of 6 months.
Traded a preban bushy m4gery with 6 pos stock for a single kimber classic stainles target LE.
Guess who got hosed for over 400$?
Live and learn.
Thanks T***** *** ****E for helping me to learn never to sell guns.  'Specially cool ones.

No regrets really . I have sold a few dogs just to get rid of them. I have also traded with friends to get something I wanted or could use. Whatever I traded I wasn't useing because I had something similar or better. From time to time I have traded something I wasn't useing much at a gunstore against something I just had to have and was afraid I could not find again if I passed it up. I mostly buy used guns so tradeing is not the horrible deal that tradeing a gun you bought new is. I also hang on to guns for quite a while. Most times a gun in decent shape that I bought 6 or 10 years back will trade out for more than I paid .
Looking back I wouldn't mind haveing back some of these guns I sold to friends or coworkers but they were all stuff that is still available new and used. I did replace a Colt Officiers model (compact .45 1911) that I had traded off and then decided I needed after all. I don't think I lost a lot of money and the one I have now shoots better than the first one I had.

Mint 1911 Colt nickle plated Series 70.  I got rid of it because it was too pretty and I needed a carry gun and not a safe queen.  I should have just kept it, however I didn't have funds at the time to buy a carry gun, so I did what I had to do.

About ten years ago, my whole gun collection became a casualty of divorse...had to sell them to pay my useless attorney.

Since then, I have replaced most of what I "lost"...but the one that I haven't replace that still breaks my heart is a preban Yugo AK underfolder.  Nicest shooting AK I ever had.

The one that was worth some bucks but I won't bother to replace is a preban HK91.  I didn't really like it nearly as much as I expected to when I bought it and I don't miss it at all.  If I did replace it, I would probably think about getting a .223 HK93 instead.

Except for that Yugo, I probably have built up a nicer gun collection than I did before my divorse!

Oh gawd. I really, really, regret selling the '03 springfield my dad "aqquired" through the VFW.  He died when I was sixteen, and I sold it when I was eighteen, not knowing what the hell I was doing. I got a pittance for it (this was about 1984 or '85).  That and a few other long guns (A 52T .22 target rifle, a browning 20ga A5, some cheapo guns) at the same time.
I sold them cause I wanted another gun.

That really tears me up when I think about it.

SAR1
Winchester 1300 Defender: It would put slugs through the same hole at 50 yards and beyond. It made me and my buddies think that I was missing when I first got it. I haven't seen or had a shot gun that accurate since. Fluke???
Glock 21
Kimber Custom Eclipse II
Smith Corona M1903A3
Bushmaster M17
STG58
FN49 Venezuelan in 7mm Mauser, unfired. I couldn't bring myself to shoot it because it was such a beautiful rifle. Wood and bluing was absolutely flawless. I sold it because I couldn't stand letting it sit in my safe never to be fired but I sure do miss it. WTF was I thinking?

I hate to look at it that way because it would be a long list.  Forgetting that some were sold to buy others.

M1 Garand, Marine Corp National Match, paid $175.00 sold for $450 some years later
Winchester M1 Garand, cost was free, sold for $300
SVT-40, mint pre '68, paid $150, sold for $350
FN-ABL (49)  mint pre '68 in 30-06, paid $150, sold for $350.00
several Colt SP-1's, paid in the low to mid 200's, sold for somewhat more.
HK-93, new cost was $468.00, sold for about $1000
K-43, paid $35.00, can't recall what I traded it for.
No 5 Jungle Carbine, paid $25, sold for $100
BSA made Lewis machine gun.  Paid $450, BATF got it :)
Galil ARM, paid $750, sold for $1850
AUG, paid $700, traded it on the Galil
A couple of '73 Springfields, paid $50 to $75
'73 Winchester, paid $90, sold for $150
Colt SA 1st gen, 4 digit serial number, paid $90, don't recall what I traded it for.
42D Winchester, paid $65, traded
Quite a few nice Model 12's, all under $100.00 each
Piles of Mausers when they cost less than $35 to $40 each

Countless others over the last almost 40 years, not including a couple of hundred handguns.  Most I do not regret except for what they're worth now.  Back then a new Government 45 Colt ran about 80 bucks.

Then there is all the ones I didn't get, that list is really long.  Maremont M60's at $2500, even the Boyes AT rifles when they were about 35 bucks from Century...those would have been a really good investment over the years...

ah, hindsight....I could retire off the guns I had over time....oh well.....

Just me personally, I'd take the SVT and the FN back first even though there is much less appreciation than others....I have always missed those two for some reason.  Galil and AUG would come next.

My MAK-90.  Traded it for about $325 value to a gunshop that didn't even really carry stuff like that.

What really bothers me is that I didn't know a lot about AKs at the time and I don't know if it was milled or not.  If it wasn't milled, it wouldn't bother me... but if it was...

Had an FFL license in the late 80's so I could buy myself guns. Never sold any but did build up my collection. When the assault weapon ban arrived I (along with 2/3 of the other FFL's) turned in my license and sold my beloved Galil .223 AR. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Even though I bought it for $600 and sold it for $1200 it still pains me to think of it. These days of course, they are two to three times that. But wait. There's light at the end of the tunnel. A couple of months ago I bought an Arsenal SM-7 carbine at a gunshow and now I am almost fully recovered. This rifle is just about the equal of the Galil in quality and accuracy, but of course not quite as badass looking. The Galil had that in spades. When I get the Arsenal decked out with an Ace skeleton stock, threaded muzzle with 922 compliant brake and SAW grip, THEN the pain will finally subside. Life goes on-don't ever sell any guns.

Back in 1968 after the amnesty, I acquired this particular firearm in a trade.  I didn't really want it but it was the only way the guy could make the value of what I had.  I wanted the FN-ABL.  Anyway, I had it for about ten years, amnesty never came, and I got nailed after selling it.  We really did think they'd do another one back then.  Barrel was boogered up, really bad headspace......judge let me go with a warning - that was in 1977.  I took his advice and swore to never ever do anything illegal again - especially when it came to firearms.  Times were much different back then.
