This is truly addicting..........more AK porn..........

A Romanian and EG side-folder.........

Two Yugos, on fixed and one underfolder. Both had carvings but I think the soldier with the fixed stock must have been trying to turn it into a hunting rifle.......nice cheek rest, huh?

Mmmmmmmmm....................AK's

Thanks!

The yugos are completely unfinished and that worked out great and they are in DCI's because that's all there is and the side folders are in Global's I think. I don't remember and I can't tell from my own pics...... .......but for the record, I have had just as good of builds with Ewbanks "Gen2" receivers.

Great job on the builds and the pics! You've brought back to life some interesting pieces of history, especially in the Yugos.Nice job on the Yugo finishes,I did the same thing with mine, original finish on a DCI reciever.

I ordered mine from CFS and paid extra for hand select,I may have just been lucky but mine looked pretty good.

Yeah, bores on these are an issue. Mine are kinda crappy. The underfolder about swallows a bullet and both are pretty well pitted. But it's funny...........I just finished assembling the fixed stock and took it out to test fire and shot the first five rounds (I'm very confident ) at my 50 yard 11" gong and smacked it EVERY time, no sight adjustments, no nothing! Maybe that soldier was used to a hunting rifle!?!?!

And they still have that yugo cosmoline stink to them.........it's kinda like cat piss ...........just doesn't go away!!!

Its a funny thing about"Dark Bores",I had an SLR100H with a dark, pitted bore but strong rifling,it was one of the best shooting AKs I had ever shot!
