Are the iron sight gradients on the SA M-5S tuned for the 5.56x45 round the way a SA M-7's sights are tuned for the 7.62x39 round ???  It doesn't appear to me that they are ...

they look the same to me.

I've never heard of sights needed to be tuned for certain calibers, but I'm no expert.

I've alway's thought that 7.62x39 sights were designed for the drop of the 7.62x39 ...
I could definately be wrong, that's why I'm asking, someone here knows a hell of a lot more about this than I do ...

I think that the windage adjustable sights that Arsenal uses on the SA M series are from RPK's. I switched the adjustable sight on my SA M-5S out for one off a SLR-95 and I don't see any differance in point of impact between the two sights and neither of them compensate on the M5 the the way they do on my 7.62x39 Maadi ...
I would think that a sight would be calibrated to the round the rifle shoots but it appears that it isn't. I wonder if a Chicom 5.56 sight is calibrated to the 5.56 ???
