Not ak related but mags are worth stocking up on when they are cheap. Never know when you might break down and buy something else evil and black.

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
$1.00 per mag !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well worth going in with someone and splitting them up. I have two G3s, but I don't need 50 mags! |
Also got rusty painted steel ones for the same price.

I wish you could get 25 steel and 25 aluminum. Anyhow...tag for purchase!
gosh. i dont have a g3, but i feel almost retarded for not doing this.....
Crap, I've been thinking about getting a G3 for a while. This might be the perfect excuse!
I don't have a G3 either but that PTR91 has been calling my name for awhile now. If nothing else I can throw these mags in the attic and forget about them till they become worth something a few years from now.
Wow...I remember when steel G3 mags could bring $50 for ONE!
Hmmmm...might make a nice investment incase there is ever another AWB (????) |
Could also use em for trade goods at a gunshow. |
Nice! I can't wait top get mine. Nice touch with the paper selection for under the mags.

I post on another board, won't mention the name, fellow over there said the Cetme's need to have a little material taken off the bottom of the mag well to get HK mags to work. Being it's a Century product, it makes alot of sense. I figure either Tapco has been sitting on these for years and it's time to sell or they bought a ton of them really really cheap. |
on the 15th day, God said G3 mags would be cheap as dirt.... |
I think that they are sooo cheap because there was a huge supply of them dumped here (former W. German Army) and not too much of a demand in the U.S.
AK mags on the other hand have a huge demand and smaller supply do to the fact importer/wholesalers are tinkering with the market. For example, just look at the price of Romanian drums. IMHO -vato |

My CETME functions fine with all the mags, alloy, steel and CETME. I guess I just got lucky but I tried both a G3 mag and the CETME mag that came with it at a gun show before I bought it. I keep looking at the Tapco link about every other day and will most likely order some along with the AR15 mags for $10.50 (I just ordered a bunch about a month ago for $11.00) Mags are like guns "you can't have too many" Then comes the ammo to fill them, can't have empty mags lying around. |

I have a Cetme Rifle and bought some of the Rusted .99 alloy mags from Tapco before they had the hotlist sale. The Mags that I received that are supposed to be rusted are in great shape as well. Then they had the 50 mags for $50.00 sale and that's a great deal. Wasn't sure if I should order one 50 pack because I just had received 20 rusted Mags from them. Couldn't Pass up this one though and gave in and order one 50 pack. I have never seen Magazines for $1.00 a mag.
Thanks Tapco |
Uggggh why do you people do this to me! I have no need for 50 mags, it will make me buy a G3!
I have NO gun for them, but this will make about 130 HK mags. UPS says the BBT is out for delivery, can't wait. $1 mags, can't buy replacement springs or followers for twice that. I picked up a few ($10.50)AR mags and ($15)Glock mags to make the $200 free shipping deal. Those pics look nicer then the $3 HK mags I bought last year. krinkfreak: Who doesn't NEED 50 more mags???? Are you sure you are on the right board. FB |

These will fit HK91 (and thus HK51), right? Might be a good time to start on my HK51 campaign....
ETA: Went ahead and placed an order. Picked up a black AK pistol grip while I was at it. |
What would I do without you guys to find this stuff........ordered mine!
HK51 is basically an HK91 with about a 9" barrel - usually full auto! Definately the most fun to shoot MG I've ever fired. A real shoulder bruiser. I want one bad! |
Damn you are quick Gus
next question, why did I just buy 50 mags for a rifle I don't own or plan to own? to go with about forty other same mags I already have? |
Dunno. I can at least say I plan to own one. And, I'm buying an HK USP Tac, so at least 'll have an HK in the house. |
I don't own a gun either, but have been planning to get one.
BTW, All of the 50 mags look brand spanking new! Never inserted in a gun. Just storage scratches. |
I'm in the same boat with ordering the mags for a rifle I do not have. But, I have been playing with the idea of getting a JLD PTR91. This mag deal is just what I need to push me to get one.
mine just arrived. with just a quick look i'm seeing all new mags marked G3/HK with dates from 62 up to the mid 80's. best damn mag deal i've ever gotten.
1960's-17. of which some are marked as follows... 5 K crown 2 circle 2 G3 FMP 1970's- 14 1980's- 19 mmk |
I picked up a box to go at the SAR show, myself. I don't have anything that uses G3 mags, but for $1 who cares.
All of mine look new, and have dates from the early sixties to the late nineties. Now all I need is a G3... |
hmmmmmm, says they won't ship to NY and late 90s mags are a no go for us... too bad
Hey guys I received mine today and didn't have time to sort them all, but the top 10 all looked new to like new condition '63-'83. If you ever might want to buy a HK91/G3 clone stock up on these mags now...
Hell, while you at it grab a few AK/AR mags to get the free shipping ($200). FB |

not bursting anyone's bubble, but is there reason to believe these things will jump in price in the future even if it's years from now?
What I got from the sale, and looking at online auctions (which are pretty cheap as wel) was that there simply isn't a high demand for these mags, because there are so few G3 clones in the hands of american gun owners. So what would lead anyone to believe they will one day be highly valued? Again, I probably will order mine here pretty soon, but was just wondering about this. -mark |
I didn't think of them as an investment. I just know that one of these days I'll finally get that HK sear pack I've been wanting, and $1 each for new or like new mags is a no-brainer. I'm absolutely sure if I dont' wind up with the HK, I'll be able to recover my $50. |
I see PTR91 sales going up in the near future. I know I want one now. I recall back in college, 1994, seeing Chinese drums selling for $20 with ammo at Sportsman's Guide in MN. |
