$16.50 for shipping! What a FUCKING RIP-OFF

I've ordered from ORF before and the shipping of what I ordered to AZ was about $6.50 for 8 mags.  UPS prices have gone up lately though with a fuel surcharge.  Todd stated on the EE that he charges actual shipping, but even if the shipping is $16.00 for 12 mags, that comes to about $4.30 a mag.

Where are you going to get AK-74 mags delivered to you at $4.30 a mag?  If you have any source at that price in AZ delivered to your door, let me know.

I do the shipping at work sometimes, at the business rate, $16.50 would ship a few pounds to Florida from AZ.
I edited my earlier post after checking out the posts in the EE

You could still order the 10 for $25 from Sportsman's Guide, even if they are backordered until the end of February.

PIC!

Anyone know what "IMCP 215" means?  IMCP has been stenciled on two of them with white paint.  One also has 215 on it.  There's also some minor graffiti on two others "LEZE" I think and the other looks like Greek(Russian?) letters.

Overall condition is used but still in good shape.  One of the mag pouches had a small raggedy piece of green fabric in the side pocket.  Another had a sunflower seed.

One last edit: shipping was $8.00.  Cost per mag is $3.67.

Yet another edit!
Who can read Bulgarian?

This is on one of the mag pouches.  This particular pouch appears ancient, faded, torn, belt loops barely hanging on.

Well, the first word is "Zvania" which means RANK. The second word is "Familia" which means family or last name. The third word I don't know........sorry. I try...............

The Bulgarian text on the third one says phonetically "DL-ZHNOST" which I don't know but the handwritten part says "Avtamat" which as you know refers to "full auto" or an AK rifle itself.

Ok, I've been Googling, and I actually found a website that translates Bulgarian to English.
Here's what I have so far:
Rank_________
Family________Zh. P. Muzhov
Position_______Automatic Rifleman

So, the first two agree with what you said, and I got a little clarification on the third line.  The two remaining don't come up.  I'm guessing the rank is abbreviated and I'm not surprised that the family name didn't show up.
Here's the link to the page I used:  www.eurodict.koralsoft.com/index.php

(edited to add name after Tomovich so kindly posted it)

It's in the same format as the name was on mine, so I'm guessing it's Last Name, First Initial, Second Initial.  Maybe Tomovich will be along to translate it for you.  The online translator doesn't do names!

What sets a Soviet pouch apart from Bulgarian?  I can't tell a difference between my one old one and the two newer ones.  The old one does have some kind of large stamp inside the lid/flap.

ETA pic of flap stamp and writing.  The XTX appears to be in pen, while the CBB appears to have been stamped on.

The material used on soviet 74 pouches is a light khaki color, as apposed to the green used by the bulgarians.

The soviet 'tab studs' are also made of what appears to be unfinished brass, whereas all the bulgarians ive seen have been black - usually a painted finish.

All the soviet pouches ive seen have also had  black leather tabs, whereas ive seen both brown and black tabs on the bulgarian specimens.

These are the main differences.

In that case my old pouch is Bulgy.  Appears to have steel "tab studs" that were painted black.
To me, the material looks like it used to be green but has faded.  Not really a khaki color.

Very pleased with my mine. 10 black, 2 brown. All in very good condition, even the pouches. Shipping was $10 and FedEx was nice enough to leave it at the door. One has the number 45 scratched into it and a few others have writing. On one the writing was scratched out.

I called today worrying that my order got burried and I wouldn't get the mags I wanted...thankfully she (Kelly?) said that "If you have already place an order you're guaranteed to get it."  I don't know with as many orders as they have received but I'm hoping it means that I get my 2 new Bulgy RPK-74 mags and one 12 pack of used 30 rnd mags.  I hope I don't get all black.  I'd like to see a few baklite mags.  I don't have any of them yet?

$16.50 for shipping! What a FUCKING RIP-OFF
ETA: I now know that ORF charges a "one price covers all" for the initial on line order and then corrects to the actual cost when they ship. Learn something new every day.
Thanks to all who pointed this out

Let me get this right, $36 for 12 mags + $16.50 for shipping and handling = $52.50 / 12 = $4.38 per mag. I dont see the grounds to bitch on...lol...

Thats as cheap as they have ever been that I know off.
