I believe the receivers are still delayed at Armory USA.
I'm going to give Jimmy a call today and get the best guess for when they will be done. KF |
FWIW I'm in no rush.... everything takes time, deadlines are always tentative and as long as comm's are good, I'm good.
+1 - me too! I just want it done to be PERFECT! I don't want to have to send these two back for repairs |
Good Lord, please don't mistake my curiosity for a desire to get an imperfect product rushed out!! I just wanted to touch base, is all--
Armory USA receivers were chosen because they are fully heat treated. The receivers were ordered with no selector cuts because the Yugo M-92 uses a shorter selector lever. If we had taken regular receivers (with existing selector cuts), InRange would have had to spend extra time to weld up the receivers in order to put the selector cuts in the right location.
Do me favor and edit your post above and put your feedback somewhere else, not in this thread. This thread is focused on the SEAK III. We've already had two previous threads where we discussed as a group, what receiver we wanted to use. Thanks, KF |

Put your comments in the feedback section.
KF Thanks for censoring my remarks about where your Special Edition receivers are coming from. What I have to say is directly relevant to the supposed holdup with the receivers. If you don't want your SEAK customers to know, that's fine but you know damn well they should be allowed to see it. |

I have been wraped up in the AR SEBR buy. I really would like in on this buy, but need info please.
Sorry, bro, it's been closed. Don't feel bad-- I just found out about the SEBR EoTech buy tonight-- |
I may be selling my SEAK III M92 for exactly what I have into it.. IM or Email me.
I bought a 511A65 for $265 from Sportsman guide. That includes a $10.00 cer. that I had from a previous purchase. Best buy that I've seen ANYWHERE!

If you missed the boat on SEAK III, here is a an M-92 already SBR'd and ready to go:

Damn, I never even knew that this started. I was going to get one for sure, now its too late. :(
I have been watching the main page, which still says: SEAK Project Being Finalized - Along with the SEBR, we're working with our friends at Ohio Rapid Fire and In Range to bring you another Special Edition AK! This project is still being finalized and will be announced when we're ready to begin taking orders. Again, this will be a project worth looking at and not missing! |
I have a call into Armory USA right now to check status of the receivers. They are supposed to call me back today.

Joseph,
This is my thread, not yours. If you want to post feedback (negative or positive), fine...Do it. Just don't do it in my thread. I posted in this thread and told you to put feedback where it belongs. You didn't do it, so I did it for you. I followed up and sent you an IM and asked you if you were even in the SEAK III buy. You said:
I have no problem whatsoever with negative feedback about any vendor. Just put it where it belongs. Everyone discussed the desired source for the receivers for SEAK III. The majority chose the Armory USA receiver. No one is hiding anything about the receivers. Its already been posted that the receivers have been delayed due to Hurricane Rita and a problem with their heat treating process at GT. The receivers were also special ordered with no selector marks/stops. It takes time. No one is complaining in the SEAK III thread....except you, and you're not in it. We all value personal experience with vendors on this board, and you are no exception. We appreciate what you have to say and we look for it in the Feedback Forum. Thanks for understanding. KF |

Sorry I've caused such a stink IYO.
At one point it seemed you guys were held up because of a problem with the receivers and I had been given firsthand knowledge from the maker of the receivers that there was no problem whatsoever. I thought you might like to have that information in case you wanted to investigate further. I will apologize for having the wrong information all along. Every time (about 5 separate times) I called the company I talked to the same person. Yesterday I talked with her office manager and found out that the information was just guesses all along. The office manager was nice enough to apologize over and over and ask if there was anything she could do to make up for all of the hassle. |

Fake cans have been manufactured and will be shipped to InRange this week.
KF |
Called Shy today at ORF. She spoke with GT and the receivers are finished and shipping. Production should begin very soon. More to follow. KF |
They look nice.
Krink, I'll be out of touch for the next 2 weeks in case these finish and Inrange is looking for funds. I don't want any 'weasel SOB' sneaking in and grabbing my pair of krinks. |

No problem.
I've been talking to Troy just about every day about how he's going to assemble these SEAKs. You guys are really going to like them when he's finished. With the one-week delay between the cans being delivered and the receivers arriving, he is going to be very busy. He's going to knockout prepping the cans for attachment to the barrels and then when the receivers arrive he's going to do final assembly. Plenty of time for your two-week absence. About the funds being sent....I like to quote Sellars when he visited one of the factories in Eastern Europe....There was a mafia type lady at the factory pushing sales.....she said "you no worry...you take now. We know you pay...evvveeerrybody pays...." I laugh my ass off when Sellars talks about that trip, but I think it sent chills up his spine! I'll have to get him good and drunk at El Tarasco's at Knob Creek next April and let him tell you the story!! KF
don't forget to let me (us) know when complete payments are due. I don't want you guys working on something I haven't fully paid for yet. Feels wrong.
InRange will not accept final payment until the work is done. That's just the way Troy Sellars handles his business.
KF |
I know this is slightly off topic but the SEAK will be my first AK. What type of magazines should I be looking for? I am planning on going to the Nation's Gun Show at Dulles, VA tomorrow. Thanks...
krinkfreak... please move to Magazines. Sorry |
That would be AK47 mags, the curved ones that are designed for 7.62x39mm caliber, not the later AK74 mags, which are straighter-looking and are for 5.45x39mm ammo . . .
Now, to further his question, is there a certain type of '47 mag to look for, i.e. country of origin, finish, etc.? Any special markings that will help him out?
All com-bloc country of origin mags should be acceptable. No American made mags thou, but I doubt you will find any. Regular steel Bulgarians should be around there at about $8-$10 a crack.
I'm probably headed there tomorrow. HEar there are gonne be lotsa arfkommers at teh VCDL booth. |
Okay Krink......damn I feel bad asking this.
My nerves are shot and I can't wait. Is there an idea on when the first batch will ship out? Not that I expect my rifle to be in that one, but throw me a bullet to chew on. I need to stop the drooling. Thanks. |
Waiting on the receivers to arrive at InRange so production can begin.
Hang in there and be comfortable/glad you got in on SEAK III. I just noticed other manufacturers, and the price of a Yugo Krinkov is going through the roof. KF |
If anyone bails out, Im interested, I have the $$ just waiting to be spent.
sorry dumb question but im new. Are these going to be for sale to members on this board??
They are a limited edition and only 30 are being manufactured.
Notice the thread post above you, it looks like there might be a spare one. KF |
My SEAK is going to a new home. govm4 just sent me the deposit, and he gets mine. IM sent to KF with more details..... |
I contacted Troy Sellars. The original shipping info/buyer will remain the same, until the weapon is complete and ready to ship. When that occurs, you will get a phone call from InRange letting you know the balance is due. At that time you will inform him that the SEAK is going to new buyer and provide the name, info, etc. The new buyer should hold onto the FFL info until contacted. At that time you will mail the new FFL info with balance due to InRange and the weapon will ship. KF |
Just out of blatant curiosity.......if I recall correctly, all SEAK III orders were to be paid in full by the end of September, so how is it that I keep reading posts from people who still only have deposits down on them???? I might of bought a pair of them if I knew this was the case!
The delay in delivery time for the receivers from Armory USA has slipped the overall schedule for SEAK III. Final payments are due when the weapon assembly is complete.
I was at In Range today and had a chance to see the kits and fake cans,Troy is biting his nails waiting on the recievers!
BTW,the kits and cans look Great! |
