Some of Yugo SKS's have "grenade launchers attatched"... so instead of considering just the grenade a destructive device, the call the whole gun a destructive device. The People's Republik of Kalifornya......

edited because i forgot to put the board code...

The only destructive devices in Kalifornia are the idiotic politicians. I feel sorry if you live there. I bought a Yugo M59/66 about a month ago and it is an awesome weapon.

I believe that some of the Yugos have been converted to California legal by removing the launcher.

That is correct. The problem isn't the gun, it's the GL. Remove the GL and they're legal to import.

Troy is correct, I wanted to add that by removing the GL, it is no longer a C&R firearm.

Av.

Edit: can CA residents even buy C&R stuff with a C&R license?

Californian C&R licensees may purchase C&R rifles over 50 years and have them delivered to their address. Any other C&R firearm must be transfered through a FFL.

As I understand it, if the grenade launcher is replaced by a muzzle brake, the rifle is no longer a C&R.
