Can anyone tell me the difference between these rifles? I'm about to buy my first AK.
Thanks

The slr 101s is a converted lo cap rifle. It doesnt have the attachment for a cleaning rod and it comes with a side scope mount. The Sa-M7s is born as a high cap rifle and comes with the side rail scope mount for like $100 over the price of a regular sa-m7. They are both pretty much the same thing with the exception of the cleaning rod.

Agcsy, anything lost in the high cap conversion on the slr101? How about fit and finish?
Thanks for the info.

Quality wise they are the same. Just shop around and see what is in stock and what the prices are. The vendor that I usually deal with gave me a great deal on an SLR-101 and after a Red Star Arms trigger, it's been nothing but bliss.

I own both and like Campy said they are almost indentical minus the cleaning rod. Right now at FAC the sa-m7s is $584 and the slr101s is $484. Both good prices imo. Not to long ago the sa-m7s was about $100 bucks more than a normal sa-m7 so it was like $630. Either way you wont go wrong if you buy a Arsenal of Nevada ak.
