Thinking about having a 22mm adapter for a muzzle brake fitted to my SAR-2. Just curious if anyone else has done business with this outfit.

NO, but I have read a long list of reports for years about Jason's good work and fair scheduling.

I have. I bought the 22mm adapter from him and also had him park a SAR 2. He does excellent work.

Did you put the adapter on yourself? I believe Jason sells (installs) a threaded and a press fit version. Not sure which one I want.

Also, he lists a U.S. made AK-74 style muzzle brake with 22mm threads. It doesn't mention if it is his own design or a different manufacture. I would like to put on an original Romanian brake, but I have a parts count issue. I think Global Trades sells a U.S. made '74 brake with 22mm threads. Does anyone else?

Thanks, for the replies.

Last I checked over there, Jason has 22 mm adaptors but was still working on the brakes. I am aware of no US 22mm brakes. If he does not have them yet and you do not wish to wait, I have been happy with my 24mm secured US brake from ak-103.com.

I threaded the barrel myself and installed his adapter bushing. I am also going to have him assemble both my AMD-63 and AMD-65 kits. Global Trades sells a US made 22mm brake by the way but it's not chrome lined or you can go with a genuine Romanian one from K-VAR which is chromed inside.

I have, first class work, service and communication. Did two brakes on a custom set of RRA Midlengths.

Both were postban bare muzzle when they got there.

I've used him twice.  Great work and sticks to the schedule he tells you.

I think FSE also makes a 22mm brake.

I had Jayson assemble my excellent condition CETME kit on a FMP/USA receiver that Special Weapons makes and he did a great job.  I'm in line for an AK-74 build on a OOW '74 receiver, just waiting for him to let me know when to send it.  I wouldn't hesitate to send anything to him.

I just bought a 22mm adapter from Jason. It's the one that you press fit on. I havent gotten it fully installed yet. Global sent me the wrong damn brake 24mm insted of 22mm, dumb fuckers. So I will have to wait a while longer before I can finish it. It seemed to go on very easey With the help of a hammer, I will have to have it tack welded to finish it off. Jason shipped very fast and I am overall happy with his service. I thought the adapter was a little pricey though. about $40 shipped. But compare that to a real threaded FSB and it's not really that bad.

Yeah Global also sent me a 24mm brake instead of a 22mm but they also overnighted me the right one when I called them. Global Trades has been good to me.

Thanks, for the info. Sent my rifle to Jayson yesterday to have him install the 22mm adapter.

Those of you with the Global Trades 22mm brake, what are your impressions of it? I need a U.S. brake.

I finally got the right brake today. 22mm and I really dont like it. It is not chrome lined ans the fiish seems to be a cheap looking blue. I panted today and baked the finish on, it looks much better now.

He built me a Stg58 last winter and I am about to send him my Sar2 for the adapter also.  May as well have him do the full treatment on it and refinish it too......
Good guy and he will answer all your emails. He is awfully busy though and sometimes his turnaround is pretty long.

flashbackk SAR2 receivers are fully heat treated, its the OOW that aren't.

hmmmmmm....    I didn't mean heat treated. I meant  the whole refinish treatment. He offers a Sar package where he pins the MB and does his enviro finish for about $180. If I remember right.
