I have been looking on ebay and they look pretty neat. I am thinking of getting one for my SAR-1, just for fun.
Good or bad or junk? Any thoughts? Best place to buy? Thanks, Echap Edited cause I can't type

i like the pso series. it's a good choice for a 7.62 x 39 kalashnikov.
i like the po 3.5 x 21 much better...especially when it is mounted on an ak-74. either will give you good service. |

I don't want to hijack or anything, but how does the po 3.5 x 21p do on 7.62 rifles?

You need to put glasses up to the rubber on PO3.5 scopes, so a 7.62 gun may mess things up more. Reticle marks can be easily learned for either caliber, but the PO is a 5.45 scale and the POSP are 7.62 scale.
Either are great values and tough. The PSOP has a faint yellow hue common to commie glass, and the PO is VERY clear. |

I find it a little odd at first. Most western scopes are in line right over the barrel, this one is off set a little to the left almost like an old style grenade launching sight.
The yellowish hue I could never figure out, but the glass is great. Once you get used to the odd angle and the rubber eye piece, I think you will like it. |

I got mine from nightvisionweb.com, it's a 6x (am I the odd man out?) and it seems to work great on my Saiga. The only problem is I've had bad accuracy from the batch of Wolf ammo I've had recently.
The nightvisionweb guys are great, we see them at every show. I think that, for the money, they're some of the best scopes out there. If I only had money, I'd get a Romy Dragunov clone to go under the scope. |
