Spent the big money and bought a case of Federal American Eagle ammo for my para AK and would like to save the brass to reload it.  I was thinking of converting the gun temporarily to not cycle in semi-auto so I could work the bolt manually like on my L1A1 SLR (with the gas port closed) but that seems a pain on the AK.  A decent brass catcher might be easier and better.  Any experiences/thoughts/pics?  Thanks in advance.

don't like the solid plastic box type that bushmaster sells... pain to get on and off, and you can't cycle the action with it on, so you have to take it off at every mag change.

Thanks All.  Campybob, my gun doesn't damage brass, they come out with just a little flat on the case mouth rim which the die takes care of easy.  I am fortunate to have unlimited use of a private landfill (no garbage, just machinery, appliances, bottles and metal stuff like paint cans) for my shooting and can't usually find the cases among the rubbish.  On Friday I shot the hell out of some washing machines and this weekend I have a couple of ovens to ventilate:)
