We have always loved P. Opus.  The end of Blon County was a tragic day.  Wonder if Opus will again team up with Bill the Cat.

After "Bloom County", "Outland", "Calvin and Hobbes" and "The Far Side" no longer appeared in print, I stopped reading the comics section.  They were my all time favorites.  I still have the original Bloom County screen saver running on a i486.  Delrina, the software company that put out the screen saver, had to remove all the Microsoft parodies because Bill Gates was not amused and threatened to sue.

That's a fat bellied stogie sucker, and them's good eatin'.
If you recall the strip where they were hunting...

I wonder if Berkeley will go back to his old method of locking himself up at home for a week until his month's supply of strips is complete?

That was Berkeley himself!...that was his brainchild! He hated Bill Gates from the getgo, don't you remember him in his cartoons? Berkeley Systems put out that screen saver, I had it on my XT machine in the 80s!

The closest thing that I had to a real computer in the 80's was a Commodore 64.  I never saw the first incarnation of the screen saver.  This is the version that I am talking about:

BTW, I have two more unopened boxes of this version.
