After playing with an Airsoft converted AK based on the Russian SF weapon called the "VAL", I'm interested in just how hard it would be to make one from existing AK bits-

First would be the ammo question- how impossible would it be to re-form 7.62x39 to 9x39? Could you streach a case that far and still have it work? Could it be made from other brass?

Assuming it cant and I'm stuck with 7.62x39, how difficult would it be to make an effective supressor/subsonic ammo match that would still cycle an AK type action?

About the only other issue with this weapon is the magazine- the VAL uses a clear polymer type mag...looks a little like a SIG magazine. Does anyone make clear mags (or at least opaque) for the AK in a 10 round variety?
