   She's a virgin and I cant wait to defile her! Anybody recognize that ammo? The rifle came with 1000 rounds. I think it's ca.1988 but I haven't heard of it. It's all sealed so I imagine it'll work, if not, I'm gonna howl with the Wolf. editad fpr spellin Not bad for 800 bucks. |

That appears to be a Polytech Legend. I sold mine for $450 in 1993. My bayo was blued, but all else is identical. I definitely would grab that for the price you paid. I'm guessing the ammo is NORINCO steel core. It is not Wolf. None was imported in 1988.

DEAL!! That is if you buy this ammo that came with it for $500/900rounds  ...nah, not for sale yet, I've never shot a virgin pre-ban anything before and that alone is gonna be pretty cool.edited to say; btw, how can I find out the year this was manufactured and imported? When did they stop importing these AK's? |

It was a private sale. He's got several pistols and other rifles that he cant seem to get rid of, he's posted on gunsamerica.com but most of the buyers there he says have been flakey, promising to buy but never sending money kinda thing.
I told him to post em here on arfcom and he'd have better luck, this unfortunately was his only AK. While I was there, in a box he 'found' an old Colt single shot .22 derringer that cracks to the side as opposed to vertically, he says he gonna try and get $50 bucks for it. |

It should be in the serial number ie 8706750 Even then they were only imported in 87~89. |

My seiral number isn't anything like that.
Mine has a 386 in an oval and DF-037xx. By the way, what does the 'S' stand for in AK-47S? |

DF = Down Folder, as in the stock style. Guessing the "S" is either Sporter or Semi-auto. That is an excellent price, it's a $1200 plus rifle. Dave |

The 386 is the factory it was made in. I don't own a Legend, but my KFS(same people who imported yours) # is like 85-00XXX. I would guess my the relatively low number it was 87 or 88 imported. Contact Chloe Keng at Polytech, I'll bet she could tell you. www.polytechparts.com/
BTW that is more like a $1,500~1,600 rifle, and the 1,000 rounds of Chinese steelcore is about another $300 iirc. |
