I got one of those trigger/hammer pin retaining gizmos from RSA for my Poly Legend in the hope that I could take the sheherds' hook out and give it a very undignified funeral. Peeing on it would seem to be consistent with the respect it deserves.
Problem: In order for the retainer to be properyl secured, the safety has to the last fire control compnent to go back in the receiver. At least with my gun there is no way in hell that safety is going to rotate back from its insertion position (vertical) and get past the disconnector. In order to rotate it back into place, I would have to take so much metal off the tang that there would be nothing left to engage the trigger. Normally, the safety has to be the last thing to come out of the reciever and the first thing to go back in.
What is my problem here? (Plese, no aspersions about my genetic background. I'm well aware of my personal shortcomings.) Is the Legend subject to some some sort of wierd geometry? Is there a whole different safety design out there I'm unaware of?
I've been trying to get a hold of Ken at RSA but, he must be out of town or something. Otherwise I'm sure he would help.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
