Been thinking about a semi 1919 for almost 2 years now. I didn't see Ohio Rapid Fires display at Bulletfest until I was packing up to leave. I made a quick inquiry on prices but was in to big a hurry to pack up for the day.

I just checked their web site and saw just how great a price they were offering at Bulletfest. Damnit....thats me, a day late and a dollar short. Looks like I missed their sale prices by about 10 days.

As with all things, you get what you pay for. If you can find the 250 rnd. G.I. belts. Buy those. I have several of the $5 belts and they are difficult to load. They tear easily. Though there are doubtless people who can figure out how to run them through a belt-loader with good results, I'm not one of them.

is a 1919 chambered in .30-06?
if so that would explain what the surplus ammo I bought for my M1 was originally for. Sealed in a can and when I opened it it was belted. I still have the links

the 1919 does shoot 30-06......these are israeli modified 1919s to shoot 7.62 NATO rounds. don't throw out those links....sell them on the FOR SALE board, at least it will offset the price of the ammo you bought.
