Looking to pay $600-$650 for a dependable AK. This would be my first AK and want it to leave a good impression on me. Looking to get my grandfather one for his 69 birthday also. What do you AK experts recomend? Thanks in advance!!

I would recommend the one I'm selling in the EE rifles and shotgun section.  SAR2 Campy Clone with kvar furniture, muzzlebrake and kobra site...  Would run you about $525 shipped to your FFL.

The Arsenal guns are very well made.  I bought the SAM7, and would highly recommend it.

I have 2 of the Arsenal guns. Both SA-M7s with the scope rail. Rolled in at about 610 each. They also make the standard SA-M7 without the rail. Quite a bit cheaper. I think FAC had them for $524.00 in the last catalog I got. Just have to hunt for good deals on them. I wanted the Classic but no one had them and they were in the 7 bones area. The Vepr is an excellent rifle also. You cant go wrong with either.
