Just bought a SSR-56 as a Christmas present for my son. I'm primarily an AR guy and this is my first outing into the AK world. My son will be thrilled, I'm sure, and I'm looking forward to getting to shoot it myself!
Main reason I posted this is I want to read "welcome to the dark side". BWAHAHA!!!!  I'm excited! |

My 12 yr old son who I bought the SSR-56 for - it's his step-dad's.
Step-dad has never fired the thing!!!  He let me and my son borrow it. My baby son seemed to like it - thus the pic! |

I didn't say you weren't an AK owner. It's just the fact of "slumming" here on the darkside that has me shocked!
Just give us fair warning so that we can pick up some of the empties, and take out the trash before we have company! Tate, BTW...here is my son also named Colton, but we call him "Colt" |

You know, you guys should keep your kids out of this. The UN and Diane Feinstein may send troops to confiscate your children. They'll declare you guys to be worse than the Taliban, except that they'll declare you all as "Cult Members Who Followed Mullah Campy of the Campyban".

Zachary will break it in since it's HIS rifle. That'll be after Christmas. I've been thinking "when can I get to the range?", but the right thing to do is to let Zach but those first "cherry" caps! BTW - Zachary is only 12, but he knows that powder blue helmets = targets..... Colton is a cool name - good looking kid, RotDorn! And nice scenery! |

Thanks Tate! Colt has his mom's looks, and the scenery was at Bulletfest this past summer. The little guy is still talking about what a great time he had, hey wait a minute...so am I! |
